The project with Balkan Services that digitizes Quadrant Beverages’ operations
Imagine walking into a small neighbourhood store and your gaze falls on the PepsiCo beverage display—neatly arranged and well-stocked.
Behind this seemingly simple situation lies a complex ecosystem of artificial intelligence, business software, and data that operates in real-time. It is this technological foundation that transforms the display case from simply a place to display merchandise into a key element of the strategy for market success.
Quadrant Beverages AD is the Bulgarian representative of the Czech group Mattoni 1873 and is responsible for the production and distribution of some of the most recognisable soft drink brands in Bulgaria, including Pepsi, Mirinda, 7UP, Prisun, and Lipton.
The Mattoni 1873 group is a leading producer of mineral and spring waters in Central Europe, operating in 8 countries, with 11 factories and over 3,000 employees.

Local support is viewed as a strategic advantage, offering a quick response, in-depth knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations, and long-term sustainability. Last but not least, the range of system functionalities is also of key importance.
It was also important for the software to be adaptable to the introduction of the euro in our country,” notes Krasimir Kondov, CFO of Quadrant.
After analysis, Mattoni 1873 chose the Oracle NetSuite cloud ERP solution and Balkan Services, a Bulgarian consulting company with proven experience in complex ERP projects, as its implementer. The system was chosen for its flexibility, easy integration with other systems, customization options according to business needs, and accessibility from any device directly through a browser.
Balkan Services was selected for its proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver a comprehensive range of services, encompassing analysis, planning, implementation, and local support.

The main objectives of the project are to replace the old ERP system completely, ensure full batch traceability, and integrate the new platform with new SFA (Sales Force Automation) software.
In the food and beverage business, complete batch traceability is of paramount importance,” explains Slavi Slavov, Principal Consultant and Partner at Balkan Services.
He adds:
“This means that in the event of a problem with a particular batch, companies must not only know to whom they sold it and withdraw it, but also know back along the chain—when the batch was produced, from what materials, and from which batch those materials came.”
Our team is here to listen carefully and offer the right solution for you.
The new Oracle NetSuite system has 75 direct users, and through integration with SFA, it increases the efficiency of the entire Quadrant team.
I can track the entire process for each invoice directly in the system,” explains Kondov.
Slavi Slavov illustrates with an example:
Imagine that a sales representative takes a photo of a shop window in a neighbourhood store, and then the system automatically recognises the inventory, evaluates the layout, suggests promotions, and tracks the achievement of goals.”

One of the things I appreciate most after the project is that the support team is the same one that implemented the ERP system. This ensures continuity and eliminates gaps in knowledge about the system that often arise when support is taken over by new people who are unfamiliar with the details of the solution,” notes Krasimir Kondov.
This project is indicative of the direction in which the industry is moving: digital solutions are no longer a matter of choice, but a necessity for sustainable development. For companies that want to remain competitive, integrating modern technologies and utilising them strategically is not just an advantage, but a necessity.
And when they are combined with the right partner and expertise, the result is clear—an ERP system that organizes the business and paves the way to the future.
No business today can grow and be competitive without the use of IT systems. Choosing the right software solution and implementing it is a complex, difficult but critically important decision.
At Balkan Services we have expert knowledge of business, technology, and legislation, and we speak all three languages. We will listen carefully and advise you on choosing the right business system for your needs.
Balkan Services has been supporting businesses on their digital transformation journey since 2006. We have already helped over 270 companies to digitalize their business by implementing well-established software solutions and IT infrastructure management.
